CitiPinoy Idol, good news via email, new shoes, etc.

had such a great time at the office today...after work, that is. we had the auditions for the CitiPinoy Idol at the Blue Onion. it's this bank-wide activity where employees sing in front of a panel of judges ala American Idol. yes, there is also text voting. of course, in the end, only one male and one female employee will win and have the glory of being called the CitiPinoy Idol!for our unit, we had about 10 contenders, and they were all SOOOO great! we were cheering our lungs out whenever they'd perform! Gina O, our boss, was sooo proud whenever someone from Citiphone would perform. i could see her waving her pink pompoms in the air! i really hope that all of our contenders will be part of the 15 semi-finalists!
also got some really great news via email today from 2 fellow w@wies. hi kristine! hi she! first of all, i learned from kristine that i can source orchids from manila seedling bank at a very affordable price. this means that we already have possible souvenirs for our wedding!!! wahoooo!!! we're planning to give away orchids to our guests, and they'll be in this small terracotta pot with a nice ribbon. cutie!!! i'm also planning to go to los banos, laguna next week to also check for orchids. i know that they culture orchids there so i may get it at a low price too. the other email i got was from she, who had her preps at vivere, her ceremony at st. james and her reception at the palms! she had nothing but praises for all three venues. whew! that's great news indeed!
lastly, being the shoe lover that i am, i am very pleased to tell you that my tita shirley from the states sent me a pair of new shoes. hu-wow! looooove the shoes! the heels are at least 3 inches (refer to the first post on why that is a necessity) and they are waaay pointed. love it, love it!
